Sample Holiday Letter for Clients: Post 1 of 2
Over the past few weeks, we have received numerous comments and searches for sample holiday letters to clients. So, The Revenue Miner decided to create a sample holiday client letter for you, as a ‘Thank You’ for visiting us. This post contains the holiday letter we are working on and will send to our clients and the next post contains a “blank” client holiday letter template that you can copy and paste and use as your own template. Without hesitation, please use all or part of the next post to help you write your own holiday letter to clients. In the letter below, you’ll notice that it fills less than one letter-sized (8½ x 11”) sheet of paper; we believe people have very short attention spans so it’s essential to crystallize your message in one or two brief sentences. In our actual letter, we will probably use boldface and perhaps even an underline or two, but we do not want to overdo the sales pitch, especially in a holiday note. We wish the recipient well, but also include a brief paragraph that shares our achievements. We highlight some practice areas that some of our existing clients and the recipients (target clients) might not be aware of. We explain our achievements and report that one of our documents helped the client raise $2.2 million in equity capital – a strong statement about our ability to generate results. By the way, in our market $2.2 million is a solid number but depending on the audience [and we are working with some clients who are seeking $10 and $20 million] $2.2 may be too small too attract their attention, so we might delete this sentence and just stick with the general point about our clients using our materials to raise money. On behalf of the team at The Revenue Miner, we wish you the very best for the holiday season and all good things in 2008. Many thanks, Eric Gelb, The Revenue Miner
Dear Revenue Miner Member,
Thank you very much for working with us this year. We have enjoyed this year immensely and truly appreciate that clients like you make our days more exciting and more interesting. We wish you and your family the very best for the holiday season and a year of health, happiness and prosperity.
In our practice, we are proud that we reached a number of special milestones this year. In particular, we expanded our copywriting and marketing advisory services. We wrote over ten major marketing documents for our corporate clients, created five websites, and crafted four major direct mail pieces for entrepreneurs. These documents included business plans, offering memoranda, executive summaries, PowerPoint decks, sales letters and other documents that enabled our clients to raise money and attract parties for business development (joint ventures, mergers, etc.). Our documents helped one client raise $2.2 million in much needed equity capital. We also wrote a number of very successful direct mail pieces. We would be delighted to share our latest piece, ‘The Great Gargantuan Grab Bag Game’ with you; just send us an email or give us a call.
When the dust settles in January we would very much like to get together with you and explore opportunities for 2008. In the meantime, again, we wish you and your family the very best for a happy holiday and a wonderful 2008.
